Its competence as a railway operator is confirmed by the obtained Licence No. L/013/2016, which also confirms the fulfilment of the requirements: good reputation, financial reliability, professional qualifications and financial security of third-party liability (OC).

Ecco Rail Sp. z o.o. has implemented and applies a safety management system whose compliance with the law has been confirmed by a single safety certificate issued by the President of the Railway Transport Office. The certificate in question covers freight transport, including the transport of dangerous goods, and the railway sidings used by Ecco Rail.
The main objective of the safety management system is to ensure the safe management of the railway undertaking's operations. The company, through the established system, ensures that all risks associated with its operations are kept under control, including those arising from services provided by suppliers.
The system for safety management is process-oriented and includes a description of the company's safety-related processes and procedures, which are independently audited.

Ecco Rail Sp. z o.o. complies with the requirements necessary to operate services on the railway network belonging to the following Infrastructure Managers: PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., Infra Silesia S.A. Kopalnie Piasku Kotlarnia - Linie Kolejowe Sp. z o.o., Cargotor Sp. z o.o., Euroterminal Sławków Sp. z o.o., Jastrzębska Spółka Kolejowa Sp. z o.o. and CTL Maczki Bór S.A., and meets the requirements for transport to border stations with Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Slovakia, which was confirmed in the uniform safety certificate.

Ecco Rail Sp. z o.o. has implemented and applies a maintenance management system covering the maintenance of freight wagons and locomotives, which has been confirmed by a certificate of conformity for the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) issued by the President of the Railway Transport Authority.

The main objective of the maintenance management system is to ensure that the railway vehicles for which Ecco Rail Sp. z o.o. is responsible for maintenance are able to move in a safe manner and:
ensuring that vehicles are maintained in accordance with each vehicle's maintenance file and applicable requirements, including maintenance rules and relevant TSI provisions, implementing the necessary evaluation and risk assessment measures established in the Common Safety Method (CSM), which are implemented in cooperation with other entities where appropriate, ensuring that suppliers implement risk control measures through the application of the Common Safety Method (CSM) for monitoring, ensuring traceability of maintenance activities.
